Seahawks Running Back C.J. Prosise to be Special Guest at After-School All-Stars Puget Sound’s Dodgeball Tournament Fundraiser

Seattle, WA – After-School All-Stars (ASAS) Puget Sound, the new Pacific Northwest chapter of the nation’s largest after-school provider, will host their 1st Annual All-Star Dodgeball Tournament on Saturday, June 10 at Arena Sports Magnuson from 2:00 – 5:00 PM.

With support from R&D Events, ASAS Puget Sound’s All-Star Dodgeball Tournament is the organization’s first major fundraising event. Mondelēz International, the tournament’s presenting sponsor, will participate along with ten other corporate teams from Microsoft, Wells Fargo Advisors, Ernst & Young, Seattle Waterfront Marriott, and Bond Financial. Spectators are also welcome to attend for a minimum donation of $10. Funds raised from the tournament will support the direct programming costs of the after-school program, which serves under-resourced middle school youth in South King County.

Seattle Seahawks player C.J. Prosise, the event’s VIP guest, will meet with a group of students from the after-school program before the tournament and provide remarks during the opening ceremony. Students will have the chance to ask C.J. questions about growing up, his education background and career in sports. The Q&A session will be part of the students’ “C.E.O. Boss Life” career exploration program—one of the many enrichment opportunities ASAS Puget Sound offers. Other after-school programs offered by ASAS include forensic science, photography, cultural cooking, robotics, DJ/music production and more.
